Gold Coast Whale Watching

Some of the best whale watching in Australia can be found right here on the Gold Coast around the Coolangatta region.

From Coolangatta it’s just 15 minutes travel time to the Humpback Highway - that means that you will have heaps of time to view many pods of whales as they migrate North in the early part of the season and when they all start migrating South with their calves later in the season.

Whales have already been sighted on the coastline, and 'Coolangatta Whale Watch' commences their 2015 season on June 1st, with tours departing seven days per week.

The boat is a 50' catamaran with full walk around lower deck, large undercover rear deck, large front deck, inside cabin, toilet and kitchenette, your morning tea is included. Upstairs with seating and a fabulous view. "Whale Watcher" carries 50 people maximum including your crew - therefore no crowds with heaps of room to take those up close and personal photo's of the humpback whales as they come over to take a look at you - the boat is low to the water so you can feel  and smell!) the whales and really get that sense of being there with them.

For more information and bookings please visit Coolangatta Whale Watch.  San Simeon Absolute Beachfront Apartments are located right on the coastline, be sure to keep a look-out from your balcony or the beach for passing whales. If you're lucky you might spot a frolicking whale or whale spout!

The whale season runs from now until November.
