An expected 30,000 competitors will take part in the 2013 Gold Coast Airport Marathon, the event has grown steadily from the 11,063 runners that took part in the 2003 run.

The event includes a 42km marathon, 21km half marathon, 10km run, 5.7km challenge, and a junior dash of 2km and 4km.

The Gold Coast Airport Marathon is on 6-7th of July 2013, with the asics Sport & Leisure Expo taking place on the 4th, 5th and 6th at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.
